Ayubowan! Welcome to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. On arrival at your hotel, you will be provided with a Welcome Pack which will contain all the information pertaining to your trip. Your leader will meet you in the foyer of your hotel at 5pm. Head towards Fort Station for your first gastronomic encounter, sipping tea and snacking on Sri Lanka's favourite short eat, hoppers. Continue on to Pettah Bazzar – where a number of food stalls will vie for your stomach's attention. Snack your way through the lanes filled with pickles, samosa, saga, charred meats and curries. For your final stop, hop in a tuk tuk to Galle Face and a famous seaside restaurant. Here chefs here transform dough into huge sheets of wafer-thin roti, skilfully slicing, griddling, and mixing with vegetables and spices to create kotthu roti. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel.
