Adelaide – Flinders Ranges National Park

Welcome to Adelaide! With its many festivals and great live music scene, South Australia’s state capital prides itself on being one of Australia’s arts hub, as well as the gateway to the Barossa Valley. This morning, begin bright and early (approximately 6 am), driving out of the city and stopping in Clare for a coffee before continuing to Flinders Ranges National Park. Have some time to stretch your legs at Alligator Gorge – offerring some of the national park's most spectacular rock formations. Continue to Warren Gorge, your campsite for the night. Explore your surroundings as the sun is setting and your evening meal is being prepared – you may even spot one of the rare Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby!

      Eyre Peninsula – Coodlie Park

Its an early morning start travelling to the wild and beautiful Eyre Peninsula – one of Australia’s best kept secrets. See some unique outback silo art in the tiny town of Kimba, which is the midway point between Australia's east and west coasts. It's also home to the Big Galah – a seven-metre-tall statue of the native bird. After a quick pit stop for lunch and a chance to get active at Lake Newland, head towards the coast to explore Venus Bay where you’ll often spot dolphins surfing the waves. You'll also visit the natural structures known as Talia Caves. Continue the drive across the peninsula, arriving at Coodlie Park Farm Retreat in the late afternoon.

      Mikkira Station

This morning, join up with another travel group inbound from Perth and perhaps head out to swim alongside playful sea lions and dolphins. On this optional activity, you’ll travel up the shore to Baird Bay – a pristine coastline and sanctuary for land and sea wildlife. Wild but not shy, these flippered friends will often bound into the water, keen to show you their tricks – they duck, dive, roll, race, somersault and swirl in their efforts to show off on this half-day tour. After lunch on the foreshore, explore some cool coastal caves, then head onwards to your campsite at Mikkira Station, home to a wild koala population.

      Port Lincoln

This morning, you will have time to consider some optional activities. There may also be the chance to see the Locks Well cliffs near Elliston, as well as explore the Eyre Peninsula including Whalers Way and Coffin Bay. Arrive in Port Lincoln and enjoy a delicious lunch on the foreshore and afterwards stretch your legs with a wander around the town – there's plenty of time here for you to check out your surrounds or kick back with a cool drink. Make the short drive to your campsite for the night at Mikkira Station, a private campground surrounded by eucalyptus trees and plenty of koalas.

Lincoln National Park – Mt Remarkable

This morning, hit the waters again for a surf lesson with Xtreme Kite and Paddle on one of the peninsula's pristine beaches. Those not wanting to surf will be able to relax, swim or explore. After lunch, head towards the ancient Southern Flinders Ranges and Mt Remarkable National Park. Set up camp for the night at Mambray Creek and then head out to see the abundant native wildlife that call this region home.

      Mt Remarkable – Adelaide

This morning we’ll embark on a hike to Davey’s Gully Walk in Mt Remarkable National Park. Afterwards, hit the road back to Adelaide and travel through some of South Australia pioneer mining towns, with a chance to do some wine tasting in the Clare Valley. With no other activities planned for today, your trip ends on arrival in Adelaide this afternoon. Once arrived, why not get together with your group for a meal and a few drinks to celebrate your adventure – your local leader will know of some great places.
