      Embarkation in Penang

Selamat datang! Welcome to Malaysia. Embarkation takes place between 2 and 4 pm. After meeting your leader and attending a welcome meeting and safety briefing on board, enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow travellers.

      Penang

After breakfast, tour the old town of Penang, taking in the historic shophouses, narrow streets and unique atmosphere. Enjoy lunch at a local market, where your leader will select a variety of interesting local dishes for the group to try. Return to the boat by rickshaw and set sail for Langkawi at around 2 pm. If the weather is right, sail for a while with the sails up and the engine off, a nice way to absorb the ambience of the wide open ocean. Overnight at sea en route to Langkawi.

      Langkawi

Join a local guide for a tour of idyllic Langkawi. You'll see this is a town that has retained its everyday local life and spectacular natural beauty despite it popularity among travellers. Visit Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls, then enjoy a free evening in Langkawi to enjoy the local food and nightlife or have dinner on board the Panorama II, the choice is yours.

Koh Tarutao to Koh Rok Noi

Depart Langkawi for Taruatao early this morning. A day of snorkelling, swimming, kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding is yours to enjoy in the beautiful waters around the island. For lunch, feast on a beach barbecue on Adang Island. Set sail for Koh Rok Noi, having dinner en route. Spend the night at anchor at Ko Rok Noi, one of many beautiful islands with white sands and blue-green waters against a jungle backdrop.

Koh Rok Noi to Ao Nang

Spend the morning enjoying the spoils of Ko Rok Noi. Set sail for Ao Nang, arriving at around 6 pm. Half of the group will head off to Bung Ae House homestay for some home-cooked Thai food with a local family; the other half will enjoy a free evening in Ao Nang.

      Ao Nang

With a full day in Ao Nang, you're free to partake in a range of optional activities. Whip up some local specialties in a Thai cooking class, spot colourful tropical fish on a snorkelling trip, take the adventure to the next level with some diving or rock climbing, unwind with a traditional Thai massage, or make tracks on two wheels to a local waterfall. Another great option is to take a longtail boat to Railay Beach. Alternatively, simply stay on the Panorama II, which can take you around Phang Na bay for some snorkelling and swimming. Tonight, the second group will have dinner at Bung Ae's House.

      Koh Yao Yai

Climb aboard a songtheaw for a tour with a local guide. Ko Yao Yoi is known for beautiful beaches, friendly Muslim fisherman and diverse birdlife, not to mention some delicious local seafood. Today is your last chance for some swimming and snorkelling before the trip draws to a close. For our last night on board, it is the Captain's dinner. Enjoy an a la carte meal while taking in a no doubt spectacular sunset. Relax and unwind as the night is spent at anchor.

      Phuket

Today is a free day in Phuket. You may feel like a day on one of the beautiful beaches, or a day of shopping. Rejoin the boat in the late afternoon and we set sail for Ko Miang at around 9 pm.

      Koh Miang

Arrive nice and early in Ko Miang, one of the gorgeous Similan Islands. Renowned among divers for good reason, these islands combine rainforest, white sands and clear blue water to dazzling effect. Enjoy a morning of swimming and snorkelling, or make use of the stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Then depart mid-afternoon for the short sail to the main group of the Similan Islands, where the boat will remain at anchor overnight.

      Similan Islands

Enjoy a full day of exploring the Similan Islands. You're free to hike the rainforest interior, scramble over huge boulders on pristine beaches or go snorkelling in search of tropical fish and coral. These islands, constituting a national park, were made a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1982, and it's not hard to see why. Later, it's off for a late-night sail to Ko Surin Tai, and the night is spent at sea.

      Ko Surin Tai

After an early-morning arrival, visit Moken Village for a tour with a local guide. This is the home of the Moken people, a Sea Gypsy ethnic group of Austronesian origin who still mostly live a seminomadic hunter-gatherer life (despite Thai and Burmese attempts to assimilate them into the wider culture). Notice their colourful poles, known as labong, which represent their ancestors. Later, in the afternoon, enjoy some snorkelling and relaxing on the beach.

      Ko Surin Tai

Enjoy another day basking in the beauty of Surin Tai. Explore its incredible ecosystem, perhaps watching for a nesting turtle if it's the season. Otherwise, enjoy the sun and sand of this beautifully offtrack location while you can. In the evening, settle into a leisurely barbecue on deck with fellow travellers. The night is spent at anchor here.
