Peter’s adventure travel started back in the 1970s when he drove an ancient Land-Rover from the UK to India – and back. Since setting up the Peregrine Travel Centre in Perth in 1986, he has travelled to all 7 continents.
He led numerous trekking trips to Nepal, India, Pakistan and Burma before expanding his travels to South America, visiting most nations there. In more recent times he has travelled regularly to the Polar Regions, his favourites being Svalbard in the north and South Georgia in the south.
Peter has now done 8 voyages to Antarctica.
He is a very keen wildlife and landscape photographer and in the last couple of years has been involved in taking groups to India. His last group went to the Himalayan region of Ladakh in the winter to try and photograph Snow Leopards in the wild – and they were very successful.
Peter’s next trip to India will be a wildlife extravaganza, looking for the Big 5 (or 6) Indian wildlife icons in a number of National Parks, with his good friend and naturalist, Rahul Sharma.
